While the vision was clear, the company required a platform capable of delivering it. A review and trial of several off-the-shelf solutions revealed significant limitations, with none meeting the required standards for accuracy or providing a refined user experience.

For this initiative to succeed, the platform needed to be intuitive and informative, deliver highly accurate quote calculations based on real-world manufacturing factors, and integrate seamlessly with existing internal systems.

Attention subsequently turned to Workflow, Lasershape’s bespoke enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that underpins the business. The system manages inventory, completes the planning loop, and has proven highly effective at automating the generation of precise quotes.

Recognised as the ideal foundation for the new capability, Workflow was selected as the platform to be securely extended online, making its functionality accessible to customers nationwide.
